This study aims to evaluate compliance with the implementation of the One hour sepsis bundle and changes in SOFA scores to predict 28-day mortality rates, knowing the 28-day mortality rate and to identify strong mortality factors mortality in sepsis patients in the ICU two of Type B Hospital, Bekasi Regency. Methods: A prospective observational cohort study was conducted in the ICUs of two Type B hospitals in Bekasi Regency in 2025. Sixty adult sepsis patients with with characteristics, SOFA score, One hour sepsis bundle compliance, Temperature, Respiratory rate (RR), Capillary refill time (CRT), Lactate level examination on admission, 24th hour and 5th day. Data were analysed using bivariate analysis. Results: The 28-day mortality rate was 81.7%. Bundle compliance showed no significant correlation with SOFA score changes or 28-day mortality rates. Bivariate analysis proved that 24-hour and 5-day SOFA, 24-hour and 5-day ΔSOFA, GCS components and renal function in 5-day SOFA scoring were significantly correlated with 28-day mortality rates. Conclusion: Compliance with the One hour sepsis bundle did not significantly affect the 28-day mortality rate. 24-hour and 5-day CRT examinations, 24-hour and 5-day SOFA scoring, 24-hour and 5-day SOFA ∆, day-5 temperature examination, day-5 lactate and Δ lactate levels, SOFA GCS scoring components and renal function can affect the 28-day mortality rate of sepsis patients in the ICU of Type B Hospital, Bekasi Regency.
2026-05-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Mega Ayu , Adhrie , Ratna Farida Soenarto, Ahmad Irfanhttps://www.journal.scientic.id/index.php/sciena/article/view/349Assessment of Knowledge and Usage Practices of Retinol-Containing Facial Skincare Products Among Medical Students at Baiturrahmah University2026-05-25T02:49:44+00:00Irma Primawatiirmaprimawati@fk.unbrah.ac.idOlivia Putriirmaprimawati@fk.unbrah.ac.idIrdawaty Izrulirmaprimawati@fk.unbrah.ac.idFitra Denyirmaprimawati@fk.unbrah.ac.id
Background: Retinol, a derivative of vitamin A belonging to the retinoid class, is widely used in facial skincare products due to its efficacy in the management of acne and prevention of premature skin aging. The increasing utilization of retinol among medical students necessitates adequate knowledge and appropriate usage practices to minimize potential adverse effects. Objective: To evaluate the level of knowledge and usage practices of retinol-containing facial skincare products among medical students at Baiturrahmah University. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted involving 64 medical students from the Faculty of Medicine, Baiturrahmah University. Participants were recruited using a consecutive sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. Results: The majority of respondents demonstrated a good level of knowledge regarding retinol. Female students exhibited a higher proportion of good knowledge (67.2%) compared to male students. Based on age distribution, respondents aged 21 years showed the highest level of knowledge (62.5%). Appropriate retinol usage practices were predominantly observed among female students (68.1%) and respondents aged 21 years (70.2%). Conclusion: Medical students at the Faculty of Medicine, Baiturrahmah University generally demonstrate good knowledge and appropriate usage practices regarding retinol, with a predominance among female students and those aged 21 years.
2026-05-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Irma Primawati, Olivia Putri, Irdawaty Izrul, Fitra Denyhttps://www.journal.scientic.id/index.php/sciena/article/view/353Hemoroid : Tinjauan Komprehensif Mengenai Epidemiologi, Patogenesis, Diagnosis, dan Tatalaksana2026-06-10T01:55:02+00:00Rika Amranrikaamran@fk.unbrah.ac.idNaufal Hanip Hidayatullahrikaamran@fk.unbrah.ac.idZukhri Zainunzukhrizainun@gmail.comFidiariani Sjaafvidiariani@gmail.comSri Wahyunisriwahyunizukhri31@gmail.com
Penatalaksanaan hemoroid meliputi modifikasi gaya hidup, terapi farmakologis, tindakan minimal invasif, hingga pembedahan sesuai derajat penyakit. Pencegahan melalui perbaikan pola hidup memiliki peran penting dalam mengurangi kejadian maupun kekambuhan hemoroid.
2026-05-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Rika Amran, Naufal Hanip Hidayatullah, Zukhri Zainun, Fidiariani Sjaaf, Sri Wahyuni
